Springtime in Texas

This piece was inspired by everything that makes springtime in Texas so special - the wildflowers, the strawberries, and everyone's favorite (or least favorite) bird, the grackle! This piece draws a lot of heavy influence from the Art Nouveau movement and was done in particular to work on different ways of stylizing flowers.

Original was done on 5x7 cold press watercolor paper in watercolors, black and white ink, and colored pencil.
